You can renew a rating whose validity is about to expire by 3 years. Submitting an application for renewing an instructor rating for Part-FCL pilots of helicopters is only necessary when the rating has not been signed off on the back of your licence by the examiner. Note: In this event, you must supply all of the documents listed under the heading 'What do I need?'. In this event, no costs are invoiced.
After reception of your application, this will be processed as quickly as possible. You will receive the invoice, and possibly a request for supplying additional information by e-mail. After your application is complete and has been paid for, the processing of your application will take approximately 30 working days. After this period, the decision will be sent to you by post or by e-mail. You can find more information about the application process on the Handling of an application and delivery page.
For the ratings SFI, MCCI and STI, you receive a separate instructor certificate. The other ratings are added to your existing licence.
You can select the Express service during the application for issuing a proficiency check. Your application is then given priority. In addition to the product fee, you will pay an additional 25% of the product fee for each Express Service request, with a minimum of € 130.68 (including 21% VAT and delivery by regular mail). Read more about this service on the page Express Service aviation products.
Express Service Part-FCL is temporarily not available.
The validity period of an instructor certificate is 3 years. If an instructor certificate is expanded, with the exception of an expansion to another type, the instructor certificate retains the same validity period. The instructor certificate will only be extended or renewed if the granting requirements or requirements for renewed issue are satisfied.
The rate for this service is specified by the government in the Regeling tarieven transportsectoren (Dutch). The processing of each issuing, extension or renewed issuing of an instructor certificate costs € 206.91 (incl. VAT).
When Kiwa Register receives your application, an invoice is sent to you. The payment must be made, at the latest, within four weeks from the date of the invoice. If your employer pays for the costs of the application, you can state this during the application. If you cancel the application, or if your application is negative/is not processed, the costs are not refunded because you are paying for the processing of the application.
